Haha I feel compelled to blog about today though I’m tired and sleepy.
My mum dragged me to the Isetan ‘private’ sale at Scotts early this morning and boyyyyy, IT WAS EXTREMELY CROWDED. THE QUEUE STRETCHED ALL THE WAY TO PACIFIC PLAZA..!!! We reached there rather early and yet the queue was so long already! I really wonder why it’s called a ‘private’ sale, there aren’t even that many shoppers on weekends and public holidays. Okay maybe because today’s the day after Christmas – Boxing Day! – and some companies have given their staff a day off (like my sister’s) but still..?!?! Anddddd the queue took a change in direction after a few hours – By right, it should have dissipated. Instead, it stretched to opposite Wheelock Place and beyond! It was near Thai Embassy I think.. The end of the queue wasn’t within my sight and I couldn’t be bothered to kaypoh.
Fat me had to weave through many small crowds to see if anything caught my eye.
We had to queue to:
1) Get into the mall itself
2) Fish for items (Yes, it was really fishing without a line and a hook!!)
3) Get into the fitting rooms
4) Get on the escalators
5) Get to the cashier’s
6) Exit the mall
It was truly an eye-opener for me as I’ve never been to a ‘private’ sale and I’ve never seen a higher population density in an enclosed place.
I went in thrice, mind you!!! Once you go down to Basement 1/exit the building you have to queue again to enter the oh-so-exclusive function. I had to go in for a second time ‘cos the cashier made a mistake.. I went in the third time with my sister (that was after coming back home and sorting out the items we bought) to return an item we didn’t purchase.
As you probably can tell, it was very disorganized and messy, but what orderliness can we expect of such sales where everybody’s fighting for their own survival to get what they want?
Haha, come to think of it, it was quite fun actually!! Once bitten, twice shy – I don’t think I would wanna go there again next year though.
I haven’t come across a more indecisive person than Tannytanz. I went to Raffles City with her after the 3rd time to Isetan to help her with decision making -.- and carrying of items ‘cos I’m as strong as a bull even without Redbull (: I’m making myself sound like a guy. She took such a long time to choose which brand, design & colour of bedsheets+alltheotherstuffforherhomelyhome to get!
The time we spent on our poor feet was prolonged ‘cos smart me cleverly chose the slowest queue of ‘em all. I didn’t know until my sister told me about it when she was making payment.. And of all times, she chose to tell me then.
Never mind, at least I had my book, iPod and phone to keep me company during the time spent queuing up. Guess what? I’m half-done with the book (: Haha does that explain a lot?
I hope I won’t dream of long queues tonight..

Christmas cards! I made so many stupid mistakes while writing them.. I feel so sorry towards my friends ):
I made peanut and sesame tangyuans (glutinous rice balls) the day before yesterday (: Nice right?
Okay fine, I admit they’re not nice at all -.- Greedy me stuffed the tangyuans with too much filling and some cracked when I was rolling them into small balls. That’s why there’re some that look like half-naked ferrero rochers coated with white chocolate.
Cooked tangyuans in sweet syrup! These look like crunchy fishballs in savory prawn soup.
Nowadays, I have this tendency of misplacing my phone just before leaving the house even though I merely used it minutes ago. I get so fed up with myself so much so that sometimes I leave home without my phone. And my mum will nag at me for being so careless and for being unreachable (but usually she just calls me to buy bread for my sisters and nothing else..).
My poor, mistreated phone is in quite a bad shape right now as I dropped it twice yesterday.. I should get charged for phone-abuse. Sorry phone ):

Oh, school holidays aren’t exactly school holidays when your mum has the same holidays as you. Actually, my dad too!! He has been on leave since late November ‘cos he has to clear his leave by the end of this year.
